Service Locator – Self-Service Garage Booking Tool
Service Locator is a self-service digital tool designed to help drivers locate and book appointments with approved garages without relying on the Help Desk. Previously, drivers could only see garage locations, with no way to make bookings directly. This project aimed to simplify the user experience by enabling autonomous scheduling, while also reducing the workload on the support team.

Challenges
The existing workflow was inefficient and heavily reliant on the Help Desk, resulting in high call volumes and limited user autonomy. One key challenge was to rethink the booking experience in a way that was intuitive enough for all drivers, while integrating seamlessly with existing garage systems and respecting EDF’s operational constraints.
Solutions
We kicked off the project with a 5-day design sprint involving all key stakeholders: business owners, developers, and operational staff. This allowed us to co-define the MVP scope, sketch ideas, prototype quickly, and test early concepts with real users.
I led the UX work throughout the sprint and beyond — creating journey maps, wireframes, and final UI mockups in Figma. The solution enabled drivers to geolocate garages, check availability, and book an appointment independently, all within a few steps.
Results and impact
Full self-service garage booking for drivers
Strong stakeholder alignment thanks to the design sprint
Anticipated reduction in Help Desk calls and support dependency
A validated MVP ready for development
Solid UX foundation for future enhancements (e.g. reminders, history)
UX visuals
These visuals include maps of the user journey, wireframes created during the design sprint, and user testing feedback. They illustrate how the booking flow was simplified and made user-friendly under time constraints.
UI visuals
High-fidelity mockups showcasing the self-service experience — from garage search to appointment confirmation. The design follows EDF’s design system and is optimized for mobile-first access.
